Can I use my Pulse from last year?

Yes, you can still use your Pulse from last year for this year's Challenge. For example, you can use your Pulse from the 2016 Challenge for the 2017 Challenge. You might however need to re-pair your Pulse to your smartphone again.

Note: If you have received a new Pulse for this year's Challenge, we recommend keeping it in a safe place as a back-up!

To re-pair your Pulse, make sure you have the updated version of the Virgin Pulse Global Challenge app. If you do, you simply need to return your Pulse to Standard mode, and then pair your Pulse again!

To return to Standard mode:

  1. Log into the Global Challenge app
  2. Click on the menu icon in the top left corner
  3. Select ‘My Device’
  4. If ‘Sync mode’ is selected, switch to Standard mode by clicking ‘Select’ next to ‘Standard mode' (if Standard mode is already selected, refer to steps below to switch to Sync mode)
  5. Tick the tick box (you don’t have to action this step)
  6. Click ‘Done’ 

To switch to Sync mode:

  1. Log into the Global Challenge app
  2. Click on the menu icon on the top left corner
  3. Select ‘My Device’
  4. Click ‘Select’ next to ‘Sync mode’ (make sure Bluetooth is on!)
  5. If a pop-up appears about pairing your Pulse for the first time, click 'OK'
  6. Pair your Pulse by positioning the Pulse close to your smartphone and holding the Pulse button down for 3-6 seconds
  7. The app will confirm ‘Pairing Successful’
  8. Click ‘Done’
